Children & AdolescentsI specialize in working with children and adolescents who are experiencing difficulties in their lives- including school performance, learning differences, relationships with family and friends, self-esteem, gender identity, and trauma/grief/loss. You might witness your child as withdrawn or avoiding connection, getting into trouble, showing aggressive tendencies, or struggling with self-confidence. Routines, eating and sleeping habits, and relationships with family and friends may seem difficult to manage. Reaching out and providing professional support through counseling can be a helpful component to reclaiming your kid again.
Depending on your child's age and developmental process, your child and I may spend most of our sessions talking together, playing games, using movement and expressive arts that will model alternative strategies for your child to express him/herself. |
IndividualI provide psychotherapy to individuals who are experiencing challenges and obstacles in their lives. You will not only gain insight into what contributes to your current patterns and beliefs, but we will also challenge some of your own narrative to embrace evolution and growth. There is opportunity for deep healing, depth work, and the integration of a set of skills to support a more resilient and less reactive way of living.
While my clinical practice at Radiance Family Wellness center focuses primarily on western psychological theory and practice, I am constantly aware of the mind/body connection and how essential that integration is toward healing the whole person. I have found that success in the therapeutic process lies in the ability of you and me, as a team working together, to understand the challenges you face from your perspective. As we reach a deeper understanding of the difficult emotional components that have led to destructive attitudes, behaviors, and habits, we can then turn toward utilizing the most research-based and effective tools for changing those patterns and improving the overall quality of your life. |
Partnerships & FamilesI work with partnerships and family systems representing various contexts, cultures, and constellations. I provide therapeutic counseling services to families and partnerships for a variety of different needs to contribute to more supportive and sustainable relationships.
Treatment specializations include: trauma and its impact on relational functioning, infidelity, work and career issues, stress management, life transitions, ethical non-monogamy, parenting support, mental illness/mental health issues, gender and/or sexual identity, and LGBTQIA-lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual communities. |
